HOT YOGA TRIBE – in Horsham & Cranleigh

FAQ`S

Typically, we should be drinking about 2 litres a day but with hot yoga, hot pilates, hot 26 +2 (Bikram yoga) and hot strength classes you will lose more electrolytes and it is important to replenish them. To maximise your energy levels throughout the day, aim to drink 2-3 litres a day.

We don’t recommend eating a huge meal before class but a light snack to energise you would be good habit. A good rule of thumb is do not eat within the 2 hours before you class.

Gym attire. You will be sweating, and thats the point right? So we do not recommend loose fitting clothes. You will want to wear lightweight, fast-drying and breathable leggings and tops. Shorts are popular too! As long as you are comfortable and covered decently you are good to go!

We are a boutique hot training studio and do not offer showers. However, there will be toilets and changing areas for you to use.

Bikram

Then hot yoga and hot pilates is the practice for you! At Hot Yoga Tribe you will learn poses and stretches that will improve your flexibility and strength. You are in the right place.

For your first class, a bath or beach towel will be fine. However, once you’ve committed to coming to classes regularly, we highly recommend a yoga towel. Yoga towels are designed to absorb the sweat faster and stay dry longer. It should cover your entire mat well and most importantly you’ll need a towel that will not slip. Oh, and don’t forget a small hand towel to wipe the sweat off your body and head. Let’s go!

Moving in a hot environment is going to leave you sweating a lot so it is important to keep your fluids topped up. It’s recommended you drink 1⁄2 a litre of water an hour before class. This will keep you hydrated but shouldn’t bloat you. Take plenty of water into the class with you and sip when you feel you need it. After the class, it’s important to rehydrate by taking on water or isotonic drinks to replace the lost electrolytes you’ve sweated out!

We recommend you stay in the class for the full time if you are able to as this will enable you to benefit from the full workout. The heat does take some getting used to in the beginning but as long as you pace yourself you should be great! However, please don’t feel pressured to stay. If you’ve rested and still feel you need to exit, by all means you are welcome to exit anytime.

The temperature of the room depends on the class. A Hot Strength class (32 degrees) may be cooler than a Hot 26 + 2 class (38 degrees). Sometimes the room may feel cooler or hotter depending on how humid the air is. However, we aim to reach a range of 32-38 degrees.
